Trusted Choice Disaster Fund Helps Agents In Need

PLEASANTON, CA, Sept. 1, 2016 - As fires continue to cause destruction throughout California, the Trusted Choice Disaster Relief Fund is available to assist IIABCal members and their staff if they have experienced unrecoverable losses.  The Disaster Relief Fund can be used to fill financial gaps until other funding sources can be accessed and to provide insurance agents with supplies and resources to aid victims and family members in their communities.

The IIAA Educational Foundation of the Big “I” established the fund to assist those who have suffered losses due to natural or man-made disasters. The fund makes cash grants to those in the insurance industry, including Big “I” members, their agency staffs and others, to pay for immediate or ongoing financial needs when other funding sources such as insurance and other grants are not available.

The IIABCal Executive Committee this week approved a contribution to the Disaster Relief Fund to help Big "I" member victims of the devastating flooding in Louisiana.

If a loss has occurred and meets the fund’s guidelines, please submit a grant application today. Questions may be directed to Madelyn Flannagan at madelyn.flannagan@iiaba.net.
