Flood Insurance Options For Your Clients

IIABCal members have access to two flood insurance programs, offering the best in coverage, price and expertise to personal and commercial lines clients. IIABCal’s flood insurance underwriters are among the top Write-Your-Own flood carriers and top property-casualty insurers nationwide.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has published minimum training and education requirements, as required by section 207 of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004, for all insurance agents who sell Standard Flood Insurance Policies issued through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  This course meets the one-time continuing education requirement for existing licensees.

The Course covers the basics of the flood insurance market and reviews the main policy forms that are used in flood insurance today.  Finally, the course will review flood zones, general rules and claims, and includes recent NFIP legislative changes.  Take the National Flood Insurance Program Basic Course here.

IIABCal with Hartford Fire Insurance Company and its servicing vendor National Flood Services (NFS) offer member agents and brokers a highly profitable and easy way of processing all your flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  What sets NFS apart from other servicing vendors is their exemplary service.

In addition to offering IIABCal members the highest level of service, Hartford provides:

  • www.HartfordFloodOnline.com allows the agent to process Residential, Non-Residential, Other Residential, 2-4 Family Dwellings, along with the Preferred Risk Policies (PRP). Quoting and application processing is all online. You’ll have access to processed policies, processing of monetary and non-monetary endorsements, submission of claims, re-printing of declaration pages & renewal notices along with the ability to forward directly to the mortgage company, insured or others via the system.
  • For a Website demo on www.HartfordFloodOnline.com contact Charna Loughran at Charna.Loughran@TheHartford.com.
  • Payment options for electronically transmitted applications are credit cards or ACH. When using the ACH method, premiums are individually withdrawn and not batched.
