Rick Sessinghaus is the co-founder of Flow Code and a PGA golf instructor. Rick earned a Doctorate in Applied Sports Psychology and authored, Golf: The Ultimate Mind Game. 

Rick was named Top 50 golf instructor in America by Golf Digest. He is an expert on Flow psychology and how to apply it to anyone's life to improve performance and increase fulfillment.  

How A Five-Play Year POW Experience Can Relate to Success Today in Business & Life
Speaker: Bob Jones 

Bob Jones graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1965. 

On January 18, 1968, Bob’s plane was shot down, forcing him to eject over enemy territory where he was held as a Prisoner of War (POW) for 62 months. Mr. Jones was released during Operation Homecoming on March 14, 1973, after 1,882 days in captivity. 

Bob will talk about his experience and how it can relate to success in the business world, and life itself. 

Bob continued to serve in the U.S. Air Force upon his return from Vietnam and promoted to the rank of Major three years early. His military awards and decorations include two Silver Stars, two Bronze Stars with the “V” device for valor in combat, two Purple Hearts, eight Air Medals the Legion of Merit and the POW medal. 

As a disabled veteran, Bob is a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans of America, an organization that provides support for veterans and their families. He continuously leverages his broad knowledge and association with the U.S. military to give back to the veteran community.

The 2023 Blue Ribbon Conference includes two golf tournaments – the Tuesday, Golf Scramble (Captain’s Choice) on the Hapuna Golf Course and the Thursday, Stroke Play Tournament on the Mauna Kea Championship Golf Course. Both championship courses offer stunning views and picture-perfect backdrops setting the stage for an unforgettable experience for players of any skill level.   

Open Tennis Play

Tennis enthusiasts have the opportunity to network while playing in two open tennis events Monday and Wednesday at the private Mauna Kea Beach Hotel’s Seaside Tennis Club. Named one of the top 10 tennis resorts in the world, with breathtaking views, its hallmark is its 11 courts at the ocean’s edge. Private and group lessons by a professional tennis instructor are also available.
