PLEASANTON, CA, May 3, 2021 - Employers understand that safety is not only good for business, it’s the best way to protect their most valuable asset—their employees. State Fund is unique in offering free safety resources and services to California employers.

Employers can find safety seminars, a resource library, and safety meeting topics at SafeatWorkCA, as well as  the following tools and information:

  • State Fund’s IIPP BuilderSM enables policyholders and guest users to create an Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), a Cal/OSHA requirement. Users of the IIPP Builder SM application have consistently commented on how easy it was to create their IIPP and get started on the path to a safe workplace. State Fund’s Online Safety UniversitySM is a free safety training resource for policyholders with 200 courses in English, nearly 60 courses in Spanish, and tools to assign courses and track completion.

  • COVID-19 Resources help keep employees safe and tell employers what they need to know about Cal/OSHA COVID-19 regulations including an easy-to-use template for the required COVID-19 Prevention Plan. They’ll also find information on teleworking, home office ergonomics, and preventing the spread of Coronavirus in the workplace.

  • Our “Be Their Hero” Fall Prevention and Safety Culture safety outreach campaigns raise awareness and inspire behavioral change to prevent workplace falls and build a positive safety culture. The campaign inspires employees to work safely so they can make it home to their loved ones at the end of the day.

  • The Safety Training and Recognition (STAR) Program provides free safety training to policyholders and their employees through State Fund’s Online Safety UniversitySM. Upon successfully completing the program, policyholders receive a recognition certificate and acknowledgement of their business on SafeAtWorkCA.com. Policyholders with an 175% ex mod that are not minimum premium accounts may also qualify to receive a grant of $1,000 per supervisor who completes the training, up to $5,000.
