PLEASANTON, CA, Sept. 7th, 2018 -- IIABCal's first virtual conference is coming this fall and will provide IIABCal members with quality education sessions without having to leave their desks.

The LeadUp LearnUp (LULU) Virtual Conference will be held the mornings of Nov. 6th - 8th.  The new online education platform provides new opportunities for participants to get involved, discuss issues and get questions answered during the event.

"The IIABCal virtual conference provides member agents and brokers with a great professional development learning opportunity from virtually anywhere on key issues impacting their independent insurance agency," IIABCal President Todd Williams said. "There's no travel, no expenses and no registration fees to members as it is part of the membership benefit package."

Williams said the Virtual Conference also provides IIABCal associate members the opportunity to take center-stage at the event through sponsorship.

"It's an another chance for our associate members to get in front of hundreds of California's best independent insurance agencies and brokerage firms," Williams said. "Don't miss the opportunity to be on the ground floor of IIABCal's first virtual conference by committing early to the limited, top advertising spots."

Laura Kerekes, Chief Knowledge Officer, ThinkHR

The news headlines continue to spill over into American workplaces, from the #MeToo, #TimesUp, and #NeverAgain movements targeting workplace harassment and active shooter/workplace violence to LGBTQIA rights, gender pay equality, legalized marijuana, and employee clicks causing cybersecurity breaches.

These issues have always been risk management imperatives, and the stakes continue to increase. Companies must not only have prevention plans in place but be ready to manage situations as they arise.

This session will focus on the hot topics in the news, how they impact employers, and what can be done to minimize risks associated with these issues.
