InVESTing In The Future

Vertafore is active with IIABA and serves on the Board of Directors of InVEST, a non-profit program designed to improve insurance literacy in students and attract new talent to the industry. Vertafore is committed to attracting young professionals to the industry and recently conducted a webinar with millennials titled “The OMGs of Generation XYZ”. The one-hour session presented an in-depth survey of young professionals and their use of social media, technology and philanthropy in the insurance industry.

Vertafore is an active leader in industry research. A recent study by Vertafore and Aite Group, a leading industry analyst group, found that 94% of insurance agencies are optimistic about their future and expecting growth driven by more diversified policy lines and investments in technology.  Vertafore is committed to that future and has recently invested $35 million in that effort.

Despite a slowdown in commoditized product lines, fast-growing agencies that invested in customer service initiatives are experiencing positive results. Agencies of all sizes cited better customer service (50%) and improved cross selling (49%) as important drivers of growth in personal lines insurance. Similarly, nearly half of all agencies reporting fast growth (47%) have deployed advanced customer self-service capabilities on their websites including chat, video conferencing, and mobile.
